Purchased a pair of "waterproof" Rockport shoes and after less than 6 months water is seeping in at the toes. After being in contact with the 7 times via email and phone, the finally tell me to send them back through insured mail (at my cost), and in 2-4 weeks they would inspect them for defects and either replace them or send them back at "their" discretion.

Really? So I already over paid for a pair of defective shoes of which they want me to spend more money to allow their inspectors (whom originally missed the defect) to possibly send the same defective shoes back to me. DO NOT waste your money on the overpriced, poor quality Rockport name. They make it so difficult and excruciating to try to have them honor their warranty.

This tells me they won't stand behind their products so it's best to avoid them all together.

Very dissapointing, Rockport. You used to be a respected company.

I agree with this review - I had a pair of waterproof Rockports for years, and suddenly one day they started leaking - just raining out, no walking through puddles. I assumed it was a fluke, and they were old.

I bought a new pair, and after a year they still looked great, well-maintained. And then on a rainy day, again no puddles, I realized my feet were soaking wet after a few minutes outside.

I did not have a receipt so I did not bother trying to return them, but when I reported it to Rockport, they offered a 15% off coupon! I will never buy from them again.
